David Archuleta Stand By Me and Love Me Tender

May 6th, 2008 | by superhush |

This show constantly comes down to song selection and this week David Archuleta picked two songs that not only fit his voice, but are going to guarantee him that shot in the Finale. Yeah, I know I’m jumping the gun, but these songs appealed to his “base.” That’s all I’m really going to say on this. I’m still rooting for David Cook in this inevitable David vs. David Finale.

check this out…if you DVR’d or TiVo’d tonight’s AI…

Go back and listen to the last line of “Love me Tender”…

Pay atention to David’s note on “Always…”. One Note…Same Pitch…then he slis on the falsetto for “..Will..”

NOW…WATCH THE RECAP OF THE PERFORMANCES..

Listen carefully this time…..

“Always…” changes pitch..goes a little lower..didn’t do that in the original perofrmance….THEN…the falsetto that he missed on the word “..Will..” in the original….NOT THERE

sounds fishy to me…

anyone else catch that?

David occasionally doesn’t hit the note he wants with the full strength he wants. That much is true. On the other hand, … um, who does? (Mariah Carey, okay, but other than her? Ok, Barbra Streisand. But on the show, I mean.)
