David Cook Baba O’Riley and Hungry Like the Wolf
May 6th, 2008 | by superhush |I might be a little critical of David Cook, but Baba O’Riley is one of my all-time favorite songs. There’s something that just not right with this song being slowed down. Cook sounded great, but this arrangement was awful. And I know Idol is a family show and some lyrics need to be adjusted, but did he really change the cry of “they’re all wasted” to “they’re all right”? Man…
On the other hand, Hungry Like the Wolf sounded great and the arrangement worked for me. Maybe I’m not as partial to Duran Duran as I am to the Who, but this was more David Cook in his element and looking like he was having fun on stage.
