Lost - Cabin Fever

May 8th, 2008 | by superhush |

Lost has really picked up it up this season. There have really been some top notch episodes: The Economist, The Constant, Ji Yeon to name a few. And while The Constant might have been my favorite all-time Lost episode, there’s either a tie for first place or a very close second place.

Cabin Fever was one of those great Lost episodes where enough about the story is revealed, but new mysteries are introduced in such a great way. Eyeliner (Richard Alpert) was back and as young as ever. Matthew Abaddon was back (he’s the guy that visited Hurly in the hospital posing as a rep for Oceanic Airlines).

We learned that Locke has been destined to be on the Island since he was born. We also learn that Christian Shepherd escaped his coffin and is on the Island (talking to Locke about his destiny with Claire). Crap, I could go on for days about all the things that were revealed in this episode. The most important thing being that in order for Locke to save the Island they need to move the Island.

Some things of note:

  • Buddy Holly’s song “Everday” is playing when Locke’s mom is getting ready. Buddy Holly died in a plane crash
  • A Geronimo Jackson poster is visible in teenage Locke’s locker

Some questions for discussion tomorrow at your water cooler:

  • Why is Locke special?
  • Where is Jacob?
  • I’m gonna hate this one, but - Is Claire dead?
