Simon picked the Roberta Flack song The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face for David Cook. Definitely not an easy song to sing for anyone, let alone the “rock singer.” Then again, David Cook hasn’t been just anyone this competition. He killed this song. It’s obvious he’s going to the finals, but he is making it more and more apparent that he should be the front-runner.
