David Archuleta Imagine - American Idol

I know lots of people raved about David Archuleta’s original Imagine performance. But, if you’ve been reading this site you’ll also find a common theme in how I feel about David Archuleta’s performances. He’s got a great voice, but no heart and no emotion. It’s also hard to accept some the song choices by these Idol’s when you know the meaning of the songs. For instance, Imagine, as described by John Lennon, is an anti-religious song. Kind of odd, but I guess he’s sung the song before Idol as well. Still, if you don’t get the meaning of the song you’re singing, how can you sing it with any real emotion?
